Hi I'm Stephanie, thanks for stopping by

I believe art makes the world a kinder, healthier place ~ and really, couldn't we use a bit more of that?

I'm a VCU grad, with BFA in Art Education I'm also a VA state certified K-12 art educator. After working in the corporate world I transitioned into teaching in a non-profit gallery setting in 2010. Teaching, coordinating educational programs and actively participating in the arts community opened the door to establish Pens, Paper & Paint in 2015. My weekly teaching schedule grew from one art class a week to providing art classes for homeschoolers, day cares, summer camps and special needs organizations throughout the Richmond region. Witnessing first hand the benefits of participatory art experiences for children and adults living with physical and mental health challenges solidified my belief that ART WORKS! In 2019 I enrolled in the University of Florida's Arts in Medicine program and have expanded my work to include person centered arts programs for senior living, memory care.

In my free time, I enjoy collage, photography, clay and glass working. I've created product samples and promotional items for the crafts industry and have had several photos & writings published. I love spending time with my kids, hanging out on my front porch, coffee, flowers, the beach, peaches and traveling. If I can combine two or more of those things in one day, it's been an AMAZING day!
