Terms & Conditions

Registration

Our classes fill up rapidly so we urge you to pre-register for all classes. Supplies are purchased in advance for classes based on registration numbers. For this reason please plan to pay ahead, online, at the time of registration. All classes must be paid in full at the time of registration. Please familiarize yourself with our cancellation and refund policy prior to registration.

*The one exception to this is homeschool art classes. I will continue to take payment the first day of class for all 6 week homeschool art classes.

Walk-ins

Walk-in are always welcome if our classes are not at maximum attendance level. If you are considering joining classes as a walk-in please contact me in advance. Walk-in rates for homeschool classes are $15 per child per day.

Cancellation & Refunds

Group, summer and adult classes have a 7 day cancellation policy. Please notify me if you wish to cancel or reschedule an art class within 7 days of the scheduled class time. If you miss the 7 day period a refund will be issued as a class credit. Class credits can be used for the amount paid for the class and towards a class of the same or higher value. Class credits must be used within 6 months of cancellation. Please note: If you have prepaid online & cancel at any time, there is a $10 cancellation fee per transaction.

Homeschool classes: Please carefully check your calendar before registering. Refunds can not be given for missed classes due to illness, appointments, field trips, outings, spur of the moment vacations etc.

Unused funds may be carried over to the following session IF notice was provided prior to registration. However if you choose not to re-enroll, refunds will not be given.

Inclement Weather: I follow the decisions of the local public school systems for the location I am teaching in. If your child's class is in Chesterfield, I will not hold class when CCPS closes for snow or other weather related events. The same is true for Short Pump, in that case I follow Henrico County's public school decision. Classes will be made up if time allows before a new session starts, if more than 1 day is missed due to inclement weather I will send registered families an email with alternative decisions.

Class Minimums/Maximums

All classes are subject to cancellation if enrollment minimums are not met. If a class is unable to fulfill the minimum enrollment and is cancelled you will be notified 2-3 days before the scheduled class via email. Students will then receive a full refund for any cancelled classes. If a class reaches the maximum number of participants, registrations will be closed and a wait list will be created, you will then be notified if a space opens. Waitlisted seating is on a first come first served basis. Please note the importance of registering your children in a timely manner so classes may run accordingly.

How many people can I sign up?

If you're signing up more than 1 child, you only have to register one time. Just use the ADDITIONAL CHILD box to add more kids.

How will I know if you got my registration?

Our system will send you an automatic confirmation. Then a few days before class starts I'll personally send you an email with date, times, location, cost & any additional information you may need to know.

Can you come to my daycare or after school care program?

Yes, absolutely. I love to help you fill the time & break up the day with art! I've got lots of age appropriate lesson options for groups of kids from pre-k to 8th grade.

How many kids can you teach at a time?

Classes at Hobby Lobby are limited to 15 seats. In home classes are only limited by your space. Special events are special, I have taught up to 30 kids and adults together, it really just depends on the class, the people and the space.

What about the mess?

Creativity is messy business. I prefer that you always make sure your kids are dressed for mess, but I do provide old tee-shirt smocks for children that are washed after every use. Rain boots, old sneakers, and lots of mismatched, mess making clothes are the absolute best for art class. For in home classes, I bring my own table coverings & clean up to the very best of my ability after class. When working with children I try use washable products, with the exception of acrylic paints & on those days, I ask everyone wear a smock. Occasionally, though there is an unforeseen incident that doesn't wash up as well as we'd all like, in those instances know your kids had a FANTASTIC time making that little oops.

Do you do birthday parties?

I do ARTY Parites! Creativity building parties, but not just for birthday. For team building, girls nights, group date nights, women groups civic organizations and of course birthday parties for kids from 3-103! You can find out more details & see a few ideas here.
